Words for the Weary - Mini Course

Your FREE mini-course: 6 gentle lessons for finding your own voice again through writing online

Hi there

Welcome in. THIS page houses your mini course... Everything lives right here: 6 short video lessons, your printable workbook and a few small gifts to keep close. Bookmark it, star the email, and come back whenever you have ten minutes.

There’s no schedule and nothing to finish. You can watch one lesson while the kettle boils, or all six on one quiet evening. Whenever you see the little gold star in a video, that’s your cue to pause and write. Then come back when you’re ready.

And before anything else, here’s what’s allowed: you can arrive tired, numb, hopeful, or all three. You can pass on any prompt. You can stop the moment someone needs you. A half-sentence is still a sentence.

Welcome & Your Workbook · 2 Min

A short hello: what’s allowed here, how the course works and where your workbook fits.

Lesson 1 · Arriving As You Are · 10 Min

Notice how you’re arriving today, without fixing it. Workbook page 3.

✦ Pause and write: one word for how you’re arriving, and where you feel it. Then sit with this: what in you is still yours, even on a tired day?

Lesson 2 · Reclaiming The ‘I’ · 12 Min

Hear your own voice again, underneath the lists and the worry. Workbook pages 4–5. Keep a timer nearby.

✦ Pause and write: choose the first prompt that pulls at you and write for six minutes without stopping. Underline the one sentence that feels most true, then say it out loud, to the room or into a voice memo.

Lesson 3 · Digital Sanctuaries · 15 Min

Substack and similar spaces as quiet rooms that ask nothing of you: no feed, no schedule, no audience unless you choose one. Workbook page 6, and your Quick-Start Guide.

✦ Pause and write: finish “I give myself permission to…” two or three times, then name one feeling you could safely put on a quiet page.

Lesson 4 · What Longs To Be Written · 10 Min

Some truths are easier to say than to write, so this time you speak first. Workbook page 7. Have your phone ready for a voice memo.

✦ Pause and speak: choose one prompt and talk for about four minutes, to yourself or into a voice memo. Listen back the way a kind friend would, then write down the one phrase you’d most like to keep.

Lesson 5 · Your 15% Writing Ritual · 8 Min

One tiny writing habit, tied to a moment you already have, small enough for your hardest day. Workbook page 8.

✦ Pause and write: name your anchor moment and your micro-action, then check them against the exhaustion test. If it feels like effort, shrink it. Smaller is stronger.

Lesson 6 · Your Word Of Anchor · 5 Min

Three slow breaths and one word to carry with you. Workbook page 9.

✦ Pause and write: choose the word you most need, and where you’ll see it this week. Your wallpapers are waiting in the downloads above.

The Door Is Open

You did it. Not perfectly, because that was never the point. You arrived as you were, and you found a little room for yourself.

Keep this page bookmarked and your workbook somewhere you’ll see it. Your anchor word, your tiny ritual, your one true sentence… that is genuinely enough to begin with, and to come back to.

If you’d ever like company, you’re welcome in the Little Alchemies Group Chat, the free, private community space for subscribers like you. Share your anchor word there, if you like. Entirely optional, always welcome.

And if something in these lessons stirred something you’d like to tell me, just reply to any of my letters. I read every one.

With warmth,

Cheniece ♡
